FTOs, QA, and Developing a Plan
08:30 to 10:00 | Tim Nowak
Can your Field Training Officers do more than onboard new employees? How about quality assurance, employee engagement, and staff retention? Your FTOs can do all this and serve as best practice examples
to internal and external stakeholders. The key to expanding their value is developing a strong plan at the outset.
As an experienced EMS clinician, educator, administrator, and consultant working for Public Consulting Group (PCG) with its Public Safety Consulting Services team, Tim Nowak has worked in urban, suburban, rural, and hospital systems. Serving in a number of roles, Tim innovates to improve the EMS profession and industry. Tim has published more than 200 articles on various publication platforms, posted over 100 hours of continued education available online, and is an active participant on EMS-related committees and boards throughout the industry.

10:00 to 11:00 | Greg Reid
Greg will review the association’s work in 2021, including the local, state, and national challenges and issues facing us now and in the new year.
