The Oklahoma Ambulance Association (OKAMA) is proud to announce that our 2016 Fall Conference will be held on Wednesday, October 19th at the History Center in Oklahoma City. Comprehensive sessions will be held throughout the day with a strong focus on reimbursement and regulatory issues, of interest to the leadership and billing/financial personnel of your organization. We are proud to present Asbel Montes, of Acadian Ambulance, and frequent national speaker to discuss the recent ruling from the US Court of Appeals, regarding VA Claims and how to build the process to capture additional revenue on your VA claims. Asbel will join Brian Choate, of the Solutions Group, later in the day, to discuss “turning around” a struggling accounts receivables department. Gail Atnip of Novitas and Lisa Gifford of the Oklahoma Healthcare Authority will lead sessions, providing valuable information critical to Medicare and Medicaid funding and reimbursement issues. Dale Adkerson, Administrative Program Manager for The State of Oklahoma- EMS Division will be on hand to discuss the recently implemented EMS Rules changes that took effect September 11th.
